entering the business world

The business world can be a frightening place.  I recently received my first real job, and by real I mean finally a job that does not require me to cook food or hang clothes.  It is with an energy company in a downtown office setting, and needless to say, it has been one crazy experience.  Here’s what I would offer as tips that I have picked up in my first few weeks of surviving the business world.  First, be confident.  Don’t get down on yourself or think you are incapable.  But also, don’t ever be afraid to ask for help.  You can’t learn anything by guessing, so ask questions.  And as my supervisor told me, there are no hard questions, it’s just a matter of knowing where to look for the answers.

The Best Things You Need to Know About Cheesecake

One of the most well-loved and delicious desserts is cheesecake. It is a creamy cake that is made of sugar, milk, eggs and flour. Milk and cheese are the ingredients that make it very tasty and creamy. This is the reason why lots of people from all over the world love this dessert after any meal. Today, there are many flavors added to the original recipe giving it several twists that every taste bud likes.
You can find its recipes ready almost anywhere. There are various options available for all types of people. There are those who cannot eat sweet desserts. Hence, there are sugar free options available for these health conscious people. This recipe is beneficial to diabetic people because it makes them enjoy this wonderful dessert without having feel deprived of something delicious. Of course, this dessert should be eaten with moderation because any excessive amount of them can be harmful.
There are classic ones that most people love. They are just the same with the regular ones that are made up of sugar, milk, eggs, butter and cheese. The only difference of classic cheesecake from other flavor is that it uses graham crackers and a filling that is combined with lemon juice; lemon fruit and vanilla extract. These flavors make the classic ones distinct from the others. This is one of the best desserts that you can serve to your guest right after having a meal.
Business people always include this dessert to their business. There are many bakeshops that made this cake visible in their stores. These cakes are sold at a reasonable and affordable price. Restaurants and hotels serve this cake and put them in the dessert menu. They are the best sellers for desserts. The demand for these cakes continues to increase because of the availability of varieties and flavors to choose from.
Homemade cheesecake is still the best to choose and lots of establishments serve it. You will be more satisfied if you bake the cake at home than purchasing one from a local bakery. Baking the cake on your own will be able to adjust the measurements of the ingredients. This is necessary particularly if you prefer the recipe to be creamier and tastier than the original recipe. You will be satisfied with the cake that you bake for yourself. This cake can make your bond with your family because it can be a sign of your love for them.

Saving Money

Authored by Leandro Delgado

My husband and I had satellite television for years, and didn’t really think about their being another option. However, we had some neighbors who had cable television and so we decided to check it out. We visited www.cable.tv  and made a change, and still have all of our favorite channels. One isn’t necessarily better than the other, but evidently where we live makes a difference on price. It seems like such an easy way to save money, so I’m not really sure why we didn’t think of it earlier. We still get to watch all of our shows when we want to, but it’s so nice to have a little extra money every month. It’s not really a huge savings, obviously, but we are enjoying spending our little bit of  extra money however we want. This has started a little bit of a new mission for us—we are looking for other ways to save money that might be right in front of our faces. We’re examining all of the providers we use, from our cell phones to our internet. I definitely recommend taking a look at your finances to see if you could save some money too.

Road Trips

Road trips used to be something I looked forward too. Fun events to wonderful destinations.  But now that I have to make a regular drive between Oklahoma and Texas, the joy of spending 10 hours in a car has greatly diminished.  Now I don't even want to drive around town because I'm tired of it.  Things sure do change with age.  Or maybe it really changed when I started paying for the gas...

Dilly Dallie

Thanks for the article from Glenda Hanson
Have you ever had a day where you felt like you were avoiding something at work? Well today I was doing some serious avoiding when I should have been focused and gotten everything that I needed to do done. This morning I did basically everything around the office that could wait, not the big project that I needed to be working on. I chatted with co-workers, cleaned up around the office, and dilly dallied on the way to and from lunch. When I got back after lunch I caught myself searching the internet for Philadelphia Direct tv and tennis teams in the area. About an hour later I found myself looking at Facebook pictures of people that I didn’t even know. I mean how random is that! I knew that I was doing everything that I could to avoid getting into the real work that I needed to do, but for some reason, I just couldn’t get motivated. I am really hoping that I get everything together so that my boss doesn’t notice what a slacker I have been lately!

Basketball

Basketball is my favorite sport. I like it so much because of the unique challenges it presents. There are so many facets to the game of basketball that you can never truly conquer it. The game is a learning process. You can compete against yourself, all alone, or play a game with hundreds of people watching. It is special, and it is what drives me.

Some good old-fashioned apple pie for Thanksgiving

Guest post written by Megan Hale

There are just certain things that you have to serve or it just wouldn't really feel like Thanksgiving. One of those is definitely turkey and another is pumpkin pie. But I personally like to add apple pie to that. There are just so many great flavors, especially when it comes to dessert, that taste like the holiday to me.

I'm not above experimenting with some fun dishes on the holiday too. But there are definitely a few things that I just have to have the good old-fashioned way. Apple pie is one of them. I like to look up recipes for other things online with our Clear. Who needs a cookbook when you have the internet anyway?

i really love me some homemade apple pie and I don't think that anyone who knows me would say anything differently. Even in the years past when IÕve gone to other peopleÕs Thanksgiving meals, IÕve had to check beforehand that they had apple pie. If not, it was something that IÕve supplied so that I can enjoy it. I donÕt expect everyone to understand my love for it, but people seem to respect it.
