Saving Money

My husband and I had satellite television for years, and didn’t really think about their being another option. However, we had some neighbors who had cable television and so we decided to check it out. We visited www.cable.tv  and made a change, and still have all of our favorite channels. One isn’t necessarily better than the other, but evidently where we live makes a difference on price. It seems like such an easy way to save money, so I’m not really sure why we didn’t think of it earlier. We still get to watch all of our shows when we want to, but it’s so nice to have a little extra money every month. It’s not really a huge savings, obviously, but we are enjoying spending our little bit of  extra money however we want. This has started a little bit of a new mission for us—we are looking for other ways to save money that might be right in front of our faces. We’re examining all of the providers we use, from our cell phones to our internet. I definitely recommend taking a look at your finances to see if you could save some money too.

Road Trips

Road trips used to be something I looked forward too. Fun events to wonderful destinations.  But now that I have to make a regular drive between Oklahoma and Texas, the joy of spending 10 hours in a car has greatly diminished.  Now I don't even want to drive around town because I'm tired of it.  Things sure do change with age.  Or maybe it really changed when I started paying for the gas...
